Passing through a thick woods of Yumenoshima area, (Yumenoshima means Dream Island and surprisingly, it used to be a landfill area around 1950s to 1960s. ), I got to Yumenoshima Park which locates along Meiji-dori Ave.
I found Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome. Cycling further, I could find the archery stadium which is under construction.
I could also see large number of pleasure boats floating on the sea. I guessed this archery stadium would be built adjacent to a multi-purpose stadium.
Crossing the bridge over Meiji-dori Ave., I could hear some cheers from many ball yards and an athletic track field. I could also hear some announcements from the field.
The field is so huge and from there, I could see a long iron bridge of JR Keiyo-line which is built across Sunamachi-canal and Akebono-canal. I could also see a distinctive shaped building of Tatsumi International Swimming Center across the field.
I pedaled my bike to Tatsumi International Swimming Center and went around the back side of it. I got to the dead end there. There are many canals around this area and sometimes we can’t go further because of its complicated land features.
I gave up going further, and I started my cycling tour again from the front side of the swimming center. I went by a planned site of Olympic Aquatics Center whose construction has not been settled yet. After that, I headed for Ariake area going by Tatsumi station of Tokyo-metro Yurakucho-LIne.
There are many trees in Ariake area, and I enjoyed beautiful fallen leaves on the roadside.
Turning right in front of Ariake Tennis Park, I go to Shinonome-canal. I just kept on going and went by Ariake BMX (BMX means bicycle motocross), Ariake Olympic Gymnastic Center and a huge planned site of Ariake Arena. Then I turned left at Meiji-dori Ave. and headed for Yumenoshima-Marina.
