December 23rd, it was sunny and warm.
I started from Ningycho-cho and passed Hakozaki. After that I went along Eidai-dori Ave., and turned right at Monzennaka-cho then I got to Shin-Toyosu . It did not take as much as 30 minutes as always .

I turned left at Shin-Toyosu and went along Ariake-dori Ave. ,Metropolitan Express Way No.10 is running above it. Crossing Shinonome-canal and getting to the planned site of ‘Ariake Arena’ , I made 2 circuits around it. This facility was finally chosen as a venue for Olympic games recently.

Volleyball games are going to be held at this facility in Olympics. After Olympics, it would be brought down as a permanent facility and used for sports and music events.
This area is vast vacant space for now, and it takes almost 30 minutes on foot from ‘Ariake Tennis Forest Station’ of Yurikamome Line. I felt this area would be an interesting place if developed well.
Also, it can be a more attractive place if Shinonome-canal is developed together.

Advancing along the back alley of Ariake Tennis Forest Park, I crossed Nozomi Bridge and came to Aomi 1-chome. Then I went to Aomi Wharf South Park and there was a beautiful Japanese-style garden in front of the entrance.

I looked around the environment along the sea. There were some facilities such as discharging places for container ships and wharfs for cruise ships, so it seemed that this area had been made use of well enough.

As I went for a while, I came across the exhibition of a large ship whose vessel name is ‘Soya’( this ship was a famous ship originally constructed as commercial ship and later, it was used as a military ship used by Japanese Army). Going more further, I entered Shiokaze Park. This is a place that would be a venue for beach volleyball in the Olympics.
There were some vacant spaces around this area though I could not specify the exact points.

Aomi area is going to be a venue for ‘skateboarding’ and ‘sport climbing’, too. I could not specify where the venues would be, but there spread an undeveloped, vast vacant site. There was a extremely large parking lot in Aomi 1 cho-me, also.

The sky turned dark and raindrops began to spatter my cheeks. So I hurried home, crossing pretty long ‘Fujimibashi Bridge’ and passed in front of the station of ‘Toyosu Market’ seeing Loop Road No.2 (its construction seems already completed )on the left side.
